Here are five, easy, accesible ways for your church to do TKC this year:

Plan a special prayer event during the 11 days. This could be:

  • 24/7 prayer or 12/1 - however long works for you...

  • Prayer stations in the church - you might want to use the Novena artwork and reflections or other prayer station ideas. 

  • Prayer walking or creating a labyrinth outside.

  • Connect with another church in your area for prayer activities. 

 

Order free resources for your churches and schools

For churches we have a beautiful Novena & Prayer Journal, both written by ++Justin Welby, and a small children's book to inspire all ages in their faith order here. Just pay p+p so 50 of each resource is just £5 or 100 for £7.50. Give them away using the commissioning service on Sunday 22nd May.

For schools - This year we will be giving away 500,000 free Cheeky Pandas books to primary school aged children. Order free books for primary school-aged children here.

 

Encourage congregation members to commit to praying for 5 people during the 11 days.

The TKC App is a great resource to disciple and encourage prayer throughout the 11 days. We also have ideas re. prayering for 5 as a family and individuals. 

 

Reach out into the community

Consider using the postcard prayer project. Connect with your local community by posting a 'prayer postcard' into nearby homes and encouraging them to send in prayer requests and visit the local church. 

 

Share resources for children and youth

We have a brilliant range of free resources for children and young people. 

For Children - our flagship children's resource, the Bible-based Cheeky Pandas are back! This year we will be giving away 500,000 free Cheeky Pandas books to primary school aged children. Order free books for primary school aged children here. There will also be a brand-new 5-part seres of Cheeky Pandas animations based on 5 of the Fruits of the Spirit, with a special 'Royal' episode to mark Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee, helping children and families consider the faithfulness of our God who loves us. There will also be a selection of additional resources, including assemblies & Sunday school plans and activity packs suitable for use at church, in schools and at home.

For Youth - Leading youth ministry, The Way, have produced this year's flaghsip youth resource for Thy Kingdom Come. The Way produces faith-based video content, made by and for young people. For TKC they have created a video series on prayer - available to watch on their social channels now. There will also be a discussion guide for youth groups and schools to use alongside the videos during the 11 days. The Way will also release exclusive new videos on prayers and gifts of the spirit, during Thy Kingdom Come. Encourage your youth to follow The Way now:
