The global ecumenical prayer movement which happens annually from Ascension to Pentecost unites hundreds of thousands of Christians worldwide in prayer for people to encounter God’s love in 11 days of prayer.
This is the first big in-person event, organised centrally, since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020.
The event, to take place at Salvation Army’s Regent Hall, Oxford Circus (London) will be an ecumenical evening of prayer and worship, bringing together Christians across different streams.
The event will include worship led by the Spirituals choir and the Salvation Army Band & choir.
A short sermon will be given by His Eminence Archbishop Angaelos, the Coptic Orthodox Archbishop of London. Prayers will be led by senior ecumenical leaders including Bishop Nicholas Hudson (Catholic Bishops Conference of England and Wales), Bishop Mike Royal (Churches Together in England), Reverend Helen Cameron (Methodist Church of Great Britain), Bishop David Urquhart (Church of England), and representatives from various parachurch organisations.
